Exploring Faith Journeys in Trauma, Moral Injury, and Childhood Sexual Abuse

Mary is a speaker, teacher, preacher, grandma, mom, and spouse. She loves St. Louis Cardinal baseball, Dr. Pepper, and her awesome grandchildren.

Mary completed a doctor of ministry degree from Brite Divinity School. Her research project, "Resurrection through the Voices of Women Who Are Survivors of Childhood Sexual Abuse", highlights the need for viewing the theological theme of resurrection through the lens of trauma. She also identified ways in which survivors of sexual abuse experience moral injury.

Mary would love the opportunity to spend time with your community whether it be a faith community, women's group, or any group interested in trauma recovery and related spiritual issues. She will work with you to design a format and focus to address the needs and interests of your community.

Additional areas of interests and experience include addressing faith issues within the LGBTQIA community, discussing science and faith interconnections, and exploring the relationship between public theology and social justice. Whether it be private conversations, conference presentations, opinion pieces in a local newspaper, sermons, or other events, Mary has spoken to each of these topics on numerous occasions.

Please send Mary an email at mstreetwilson@gmail.com to arrange a visit with your community.
